I LOVE Chez Panisse! We first went there when we were living in San Francisco and Ger’s parents came to visit us.
It is the epitome of fresh, local and natural food.
When I found this recipe on Apartment Therapy I was thrilled!

If you like colors and art, boy do I have the cookie for you!
Take a look at this “painted” cookie from Martha Stewart.

Think of these as blank canvases! You start with a basic sugar cookie and cut it into large squares or really any shape you want it to be. The next part is the most fun! Simply squeeze drops of food coloring on each cookie and use a straw to gently blow the liquid across each cookie. Of course if you are not cool with the whole blowing part, you can use toothpicks or paint brushes to create your piece of abstract art.

Wouldn’t these be make great table settings? Imagine them sitting on little easels! I love it!

I recently met Jill Moran of JS Moran & Associates who told me about Fancy Pants Bakery. A boutique bakery that focuses on all stages of life from baby showers to birthdays and from wedding days to business deals.
They have such a fun spirit when it comes to cookies. I love how animated and fun they look!
Maura Duggan and Justin Housman, owners of Fancy Pants also take custom orders.
Perhaps you could use these cookies as a unique place card for your guests at your wedding!
