Sunday Sweets! Painted Sugar Cookies

If you like colors and art, boy do I have the cookie for you!

Take a look at this “painted” cookie from Martha Stewart.

Think of these as blank canvases!  You start with a basic sugar cookie and cut it into large squares or really any shape you want it to be.  The next part is the most fun! Simply squeeze drops of food coloring on each cookie and use a straw to gently blow the liquid across each cookie.  Of course if you are not cool with the whole blowing part, you can use toothpicks or paint brushes to create your piece of abstract art.

Wouldn’t these be make great table settings? Imagine them sitting on little easels! I love it!
