U.S., England, Ireland & Spain…Our Save the Dates Take Flight!

The Save the Date dilemma is over! Hooray!!

Of course you remember my incessant indecision, here and here regarding our save the dates.

After pulling my hair out over which “look” to go for, I finally came to and realized that most people who will receive these won’t think twice about them.  Our guests won’t care if they match the style of wedding we were going for or if they were the coolest piece of mail that they have ever received.  Why spend another few weeks mulling over them?

With that, I went online and ordered our save the dates!   We decided to go with the Wedding Paper Divas “Park Bench” style.  It was fun, non-DIY and completely us.

I was so excited when I received our STD’s in the mail.  Everything was perfect! It was much less “peachy” in person and more of a cream color which is what I was exactly looking for. Great job, Wedding Paper Divas!

This Sunday afternoon I spent putting together our guest list and addressing the save the dates. Here I am with our little delights!

I’m thrilled to have them all finished and ready to be mailed out to our guests!

I don’t want to even think about when it’s time to pick out invitations!

Did anyone else jump off the DIY ship and let the professionals do what they do best?

Desiging Your Own Paper

Most all of us have lots of experience in doodling. It probably started back in 2nd grade and progressed to more elaborate pieces in 10th grade.  Now you can put your experience to work in creating your own paper!

iDiY featured Artysville’s tutorial for these fun doodle cards.

Items needed: a scanner, a color printer, Photoshop and your awesome artwork

Colored Cardstock

“(1) scan your black and white doodle at hi-res; (2) open the image in Photoshop; (3) pick  a color that’s closest to the color of your paper; (4) colorize with the Magic Wand and Fill tool; (5) print…”

“… and cut to desired size”

For someone who has no interest in mastering gocco, this is definitely more my speed and allows me to keep being creative.

Elizabeth Anne Designs Feature: My Save The Dates- DIY Style

After thinking about it and talking about it and thinking about it some more, our wedding date is finally set!

It feels amazing to have our wedding venue booked and a date to look forward to.  Until recently, everything was up in the air but now, it all feels real.

I’m kind of embarrassed to admit this but I’ve had my Save the Dates finished for a couple months now!

When thinking about the Save the Dates, I wanted the design to reflect our venue and vision. They had to be colorful, unique and a bit modern.

I played around with Poladroid Image Maker before and had so much fun!  If you remember, Mo also tried her had at Poladroid to transform her Engagement Photos!

Poladroid is so easy to use and thought that it would be really unique to incorporate it into our Save the Dates!

Without further ado, here it is!

Cliff House STD

The photo in the picture is one of the dining rooms at The Cliff House.  Isn’t it just so fun!?

Currently, I’m trying to find a good way to present these to our guests.  I don’t think printing them out and stuffing them in an envelope would quite work.  Then, I thought why not transform them into postcards!

I’m excited to be home in Pennsylvania visiting my family this week so me and mom are going to be working on this little project together.

Do you have any suggestions on how to present these to guests?
